Hiding

Lately, whenever Mum or Dad get home, I run and hide. Sometimes I hide in the living room under the coffee table, sometimes I just cover my face wherever I am, and sometimes I hide under the table in the kitchen. Sometimes Mum hides with me, like in this photo.

When I hear their footsteps I yell, "Dad, say Where did Elsa goed?"

Busted

Last night, as we pulled away from the KFC drive-thru (Dad loves his KFC), I asked Dad for my fries. Mum, who I don't think has ever been in a drive-thru, pointed out the fact that Dad didn't order any fries, so why would I ask for them? Then it dawned on her. She looked at Dad and yelled, "Busted!"

Dad squirmed,"We've only gone, like, two times sweetheart, and it was to Wendy's. It just smells like fries in here because of the chicken."

"I like chicken," I said.

Dad handed me a biscuit. "It's past your bedtime and you already ate, you can have some of this."

It was good- salty and buttery and warm.

Dad's Cholesterol

Dad keeps an eye on his cholesterol and eats a heart healthy diet that is low in saturated fat and sodium. That's why I don't know what is going on in this photo. His look of glee and anticipation is apparent, and Uncle B looks very intent on eating those smoked pork chops. What worries me is the lack of vegetables in the photo, except for the chipotles on the right.
