Papa Barry

Papa Barry visited last week. He's pretty awesome, especially driving me around Talladega. We were cruising. We did like five laps at a time.

He taught me how to do yoga. When he was doing downward dog I did it too and Mum said I did a good job. I was sore the next day though.

Papa and Mum bought a new desk for me. Papa was downstairs for hours sanding and refinishing it and now it looks like new. I think we're going to put it in my room.

Snowmobile Suit

OK, winter is about over and I haven't gone snowmobiling once! I have my suit! I have my ducky mittens! And my kitty cat hat!

Uncle Rob has a sweet sled back in Wisconsin. He showed it to me when we visited. It was bright green and reminded me of the lizards in my touch and feel books.

Come on Dad! You and Uncle Dom could go halfsies on a new Yamaha RX-1 Warrior!

Eat this Sweet Potato

Dad: Elsie, what did you do at daycare today?

Elsa: Bway-da bway-da!

Dad: Did you sing “Bon Bon Bon?

Elsa: BON BON BON!

Dad: You’re good at that!

Elsa: Aah?

Dad: I like your balloon. Was there a birthday party for someone?

Elsa: E-I-E-I-O!

Dad: Eat this sweet potato.

Elsa: Lo-dee-doh!

Dad: Hello!

Elsa: Ah-Lo!

Dad: Eat this sweet potato.

Elsa: Lo-dee-doh.

Dad: This one here.

Elsa: Lo-dee-doh.

Smoker Wars

Dad was cooking ribs this weekend on his R2D2 smoker so I went out there and pretended I was the holographic image of Princess Leia pleading with Obi-Wan to help the Rebellion.

You must see this droid safely delivered to him on Alderaan. This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're my only hope…Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're my only hope.

Dad stood next to the smoker and did his C3P0 impersonation, “”really R2, just because you’re a charcoal smoker doesn’t mean that you can’t emit consistent heat over a four hour period…”

I went inside, Dad’s 3PO accent was pretty lame and it was 25 degrees out and windy.

Squash Pro

His racquet is in here somewhere. Oh, there it is! Sweeeeet!

Dad says I'm going to play squash for either Penn, Harvard, or Cornell. I don't know what he is talking about.

Daddy's Little Girl

You're the end of the rainbow,
My pot of gold,
You're daddy's little girl to have and hold
A precious gem is what you are
You're mommy's bright and shining star.

Geez! I'm only 15 months old and I have heard this song about a hundred million billion times! Dad gets all excited, rummages through his records, gets out the Mills Brothers' "Memories Nice and Easy" and plays this song over and over and over. We dance in the living room. Slow during the slow parts and then we jump up and down when the drums come in. I like that part, I guess it isn't all bad.

I guarantee you will hear this song at my wedding.
