Chilly Chilis

Dad pulled all the chili plants from the garden right before it snowed and hung them upside down in the basement. They were there for a few weeks until they dried out, but almost froze because it is so cold down there. Then he pulled the chilis off the plants and put them all in a container. Whenever I get near that container he totally freaks out. Actually, I think Mum hid the container somewhere.

I don't know why he did it. How are Mum and Dad going to eat about a thousand dried chilis? It's not like I'm going to eat them. I only eat food that is white.
